Heinz Siery Carstens Fat Lava Vase 70s

Vintage from West Germany, circa 1970s.

This is a ceramic vase made by Carstens T?nnieshof, designed by Heinz Siery.

A collectible item in the increasingly popular West Germany / Fat Lava style.

This piece is exceptionally beautiful with its deep brown to black lava-textured glaze, unique granular finish, and rounded organic form.

It features a rare one-handled bottle shape, differing from the typical cylindrical form.

Simply placing it in a space makes it a statement piece, and it pairs perfectly with Mid-Century, Scandinavian, Brutalist, and Space Age interiors.

While these items are available in the overseas vintage market, this particular model is relatively uncommon domestically.
