Recommended for first-time obi wearers, such as for Tokudo (ordination ceremony).
Lined Obi (When unfolded, it looks like a single bolt of fabric.)

Size
Width 9.5cm x Length 410cm

Weight
Approx. 190g

It is not pure white, but an ecru color.

Close-up of the fabric. Image 7

There are 2 stains, about 5mm in size.
(Image 8)
(These are expected to gradually fade with repeated washing.)

While a Light Pile obi is quick to tie, the elastic deteriorates with age, becoming weak, and the velcro also loses its adhesion due to fuzzing.
In contrast, a cotton obi takes longer to tie, but has less age-related deterioration, fits the body well, and provides a stable tying experience.
It is also environmentally friendly as it is made from natural materials.

Thank you for your consideration.

San'e Ippatsu (三衣一鉢)
Refers to the three robes and one alms bowl permitted for possession by Buddhist ascetics, specifically bikshus (monks).
Also pronounced San'ne Ippatsu.
The three robes consist of:
The Antarvasa (下衣 - lower garment, transliterated as 安陀会), worn closest to the body.
The Uttarāsa?ga (大衣 - upper robe, transliterated as 鬱多羅僧), worn over the Antarvasa.
And sometimes the Sa?ghā?i (重衣 - double robe, transliterated as 僧伽梨), worn over the other two.
The shape, size, color, sewing method, and wearing method of these were all prescribed.
The three robes are collectively referred to as Kesa (袈裟), a name derived from their color.
Even after various possessions became permitted, these robes and the alms bowl remained the most important belongings of ascetics and were revered as symbols of the ascetic life.
