Kimono storage chest, Japanese-style chest of drawers, wedding chest

This item is the upper part of a two-tiered wedding chest of drawers, originally purchased around 1994-1995. The original set included a section for storing kimonos and a lower section with drawers for clothing. The lower clothing drawers have already been disposed of, so only the upper kimono storage section is being offered for sale.

The description states it is made of natural wood, but it is likely made of paulownia.

The images show stains and scratches from age and use as much as possible. Please comment if you would like to see specific areas in detail.

This item is being sold due to the disposal of kimonos. I believe this is an ideal chest for kimono storage. It is solidly built and can still be used.
