Vintage G-1 CAGLECO SPORTSWEAR MIL-J-7823

Rare large size 46.

This is a Type G-1 flight jacket manufactured by Vintage CAGLECO SPORTSWEAR, based on the U.S. Navy Bureau of Aeronautics MIL-J-7823 specification.

MIL-J-7823(AER) is said to be a G-1 ordered during the contract years of 1952-1960.

The zipper is made by CONMAR.

The teeth are made of aluminum, and this small slider is up to MIL-J-7823.

It seems that the slider was changed to a larger one from 7823A.

The hem rib is a single piece with a change in knitting pattern partway through.

The small slider and this two-stage rib enhance the vintage feel.

I believe size 46, a large size, is unusual.

Although it is an old item, its condition is quite good.
