★★For Electric Drills (Cannot be used with hex chucks of impact drivers, etc.)
The shank (shaft) diameter is 10mm, making it compatible with general electric drills (10mm chuck).
The shank shape is an onigiri (rice ball) shape, but it fits without issue into the round chuck of an electric drill (this is the standard shape for hole saws).
It will not fit into hex chucks for impact drivers, etc.
22Φ is the diameter that allows the male threaded part of 16A or 13A valve sockets, used for overflow processing of killifish breeding containers, to be inserted with about 1-2mm of clearance.
Both 16A and 13A have the same male threaded part diameter, so this size hole saw is used in most cases for overflow processing.
As it is for DIY use, it is not ultra-high performance, but the sharpness is not bad, and [when drilling holes in synthetic resin products (containers)] you won't feel deterioration even after about 1000 uses.
As it is a general-purpose tool, it can be used to drill 22mm holes in synthetic resin, plastic, and wood.
Specifications state it can handle thin metal sheets up to about 3mm thick, but we have only used it on synthetic resin containers for killifish and wood about 1cm thick, so we cannot guarantee performance on metal or thicker materials (it will likely work, but durability will be reduced).
【Please Note】
★Hex wrench is not included. Disassembly and cleaning are rarely necessary, but if you need to disassemble it, use a 2.5mm hex wrench. A 100-yen shop hex wrench set is sufficient.
★Cannot be used with hex chucks for impact drivers, electric drivers, etc.
★The cutting edges may appear uneven, but this is intentional to reduce cutting resistance (according to the manufacturer).
★M42, H.S.S., and Bi-Metal are material names, but most hole saws are made of these materials, so you don't need to worry about it. ^^
