Purchased at a luxury hotel in China about 30 years ago.
This is an auspicious ornament, with a sculpture of 7 elephants in a row, all carved from a single piece.
The carving of the 7 elephants in a row demonstrates a high level of craftsmanship.

It is unlikely that an ornament of this caliber will be easily found again.
The material of the carving and its base is unknown. It is quite old.

It is lightly secured with thread to prevent it from falling and breaking.

I have enjoyed displaying it in my curio cabinet for many years, but as it has become full, I have sadly decided to part with it.
