For cats and very small dogs, we select and peel bark from aged, hard branches to create these toys.

Because we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, many customers have told us that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

For dogs in the teething stage and male Japanese dogs with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a long time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed as it is fruit wood.
These pear wood branches are peeled one by one and naturally dried for over 2 years in Niigata Prefecture.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branch parts are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and if you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths, but please allow them to play within your sight.
Please refrain from using if your dog has fruit allergies.
