For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.
Since we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, many customers have given us positive feedback that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

For puppies in the teething stage and male Japanese dogs with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can barely hold will allow them to enjoy it for a long time.
Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood chips after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed as it is fruit wood.
These branches are from pear trees grown in Niigata Prefecture. The bark is peeled one by one and naturally dried for over 2 years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branch parts are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As it is wood, your dog's teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please ensure that your pet plays under your supervision.
Please refrain from use if your pet has fruit tree allergies.
We do not accept use for purposes other than chewing toys.
