For cats and very small dogs, we select hard branches with many years of growth and peel off the bark to create these toys.
Since we do not hollow out the wood, peel off the bark, or shave it, many customers have given us happy feedback that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.
Zelkova (left): approx. 11.8 x 1.2-1.4 cm
Pear (right): approx. 16.5 x 1.3-1.7 cm
Including small branches: approx. 1.8, 3.8 cm
Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.
Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping stage, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can barely hold onto will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.
Pear wood branches are less likely to have thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
The bark is peeled off one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.
*Measured with a moisture meter, moisture content is approximately 0%.
As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to over-drying.
Since it is made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths, but please let them play under your supervision.
Please refrain from use if your pet has fruit allergies.
We do not accept returns for any use other than as a chew toy.
