For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.
Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

Recommended for puppies who are in the nipping phase, to prevent mischief, to stop them from chewing on shoes and clothes, and for those worried about their dogs destroying their homes.

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.
Zelkova (left): Approx. 12.2 x 2.4-2.8 cm
Approx. 7.0 cm including small branches
Pear (right): Approx. 14.5 x 2.3-2.6 cm
Approx. 2.7, 3.3 cm including small branches
Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.
Please compare the size to your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping phase, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.
Pear wood branches are less likely to have sharp thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). Please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
Since it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your pet while they play.
Please refrain from use if your pet has fruit allergies.
We do not accept returns for uses other than as chew toys.
