Mikage-fuda / Goeika-fuda Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage Kobo Daishi 1100th Anniversary Talismans 172 pieces
About the amulets commemorating the 1100th anniversary of Kobo Daishi's posthumous title
To commemorate the 1100th anniversary of receiving the posthumous title of Kobo Daishi from Emperor Daigo (October 27, 921, the 21st year of Engi), we distributed goeika (Buddhist hymns) amulets at 88 temples.
- Goeika Amulets
I forgot to receive them at the 2nd temple, Gokuraku-ji, and the 13th temple, Dainichi-ji, out of the 88 temples, so I have 86 amulets.
- Osugata (Portraits)
There are no amulets depicting the principal image of each temple in the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage Osugata (Omi-e, Mikage). The 2nd, 7th, and 13th temples do not have them. Additionally, there were two types of amulets at the 61st temple, Kōon-ji, making a total of 86 amulets.
- The total number of amulets is 172, consisting of 86 goeika amulets and 86 osugata (portraits).
