This is a DVD drive that was connected to a used PC I purchased previously.
When I connected it to my current PC before listing, it was recognized and read without any issues (writing function unconfirmed).
While it's a hassle to connect it to a desktop PC every time, if you have a SATA connection cable, it can be used as an external drive. Why not keep it handy for occasional DVD reading and writing?
*Please note that it cannot read or write Blu-ray discs.
