The development concept of the Barbaro 838 CI is to cast and continuously entice lures in the Le Grand Tango 240 class, and to control and land an 80kg+ Omassa. In testing, it has landed numerous Big GTs and large dogtooth tuna with ample room to spare while maintaining control, making it a rod with excellent potential as a versatile rod for all large fish. Furthermore, because it was designed to seamlessly combine casting ability and the power to control Big Ones, it is also capable of using lightweight lures, allowing for stress-free casting with games that use Le Grand Tango 190 class plugs + PESS for small bait.
