Chase Utley Model
By placing the balance towards the handle, the bat feels lighter, allowing you to swing a slightly heavier bat with ease.

Although the bat itself is somewhat heavy, the weight is distributed to the knob, creating a counter-balance. This makes the bat feel heavy yet easy to swing.

One of the representative second basemen of MLB in the 2000s, excelling in running, hitting, and fielding.

・The Kokeshi grip shifts the balance towards the handle.
You can feel the effect more by gripping the bat one or two inches shorter.

・This style has become popular in Major League Baseball in recent years. Due to the grip end's shape resembling an ice hockey puck, it's also called a PUCK KNOB.
When you bring the bat forward, the weight of the knob guides your hand's movement, acting as a pivot point at impact, naturally allowing the barrel to whip through the zone.

・Famous baseball players using this type of bat: MLB
Paul Goldschmidt (WBC USA Team)
Nolan Arenado (WBC USA Team)
Lars Nootbaar (WBC Japan Team)
