One-of-a-kind ★ Genuine Lacquer Bamboo Rod ★ 6.6 ft. Round Bamboo ★ Includes Dedicated Bamboo Case
Please read the profile to avoid any trouble.
This is a beautiful and extremely rare bamboo lure rod, possibly from Marutake-ya, made of genuine bamboo, special 6.6ft (6.6 shaku), finished with genuine lacquer, and comes with its original bamboo tube case.
This bamboo rod was purchased at a vintage shop over 10 years ago. It has been used twice for bass fishing, casting topwater lures.
*Added 5/6/2026: The reel used with the rod was an Abu Ambassadeur 2500C. The lures cast were Rebel POP R (P60): approx. 7g, Megabass POP X: approx. 7g, and Heddon Tiger (1020): approx. 10g. The operability was good.
The rod's action felt like a fast taper, with a stiff (strong) butt section.
The action is likely light to medium.
Casting 5/8oz class lures should be possible, but it may require some technique as it is not a slow taper.
It might be suitable for fishing that requires sensitivity.
Images of the rod grip from the side (19th image) and the stamped area (20th image) have been added and updated.
Details are unknown, but it is believed to be a meticulously crafted bamboo lure rod set, possibly made by Marutake-ya. The dedication to bamboo material extends to the details, such as the protective bamboo sleeve for the ferrule during storage and the bamboo tube case for protecting the tip during transport.
Since natural bamboo has varying internode lengths and thicknesses for each piece, this rod is likely a one-of-a-kind item.
In my opinion, considering its age, it is in beautiful condition. As this is a vintage item, please check the images. Those who are overly sensitive should refrain from purchasing.
Regarding shipping, the rod case itself is 180cm long, and it will barely fit within the 200 size limit (maximum size) of RakuRaku Mercari便, so please be aware of this.
Thank you for your understanding and agreement before making your purchase.
