Nanao Photobook "DIVINE"
Second printing in February 2023, reprinted immediately after release. Approximately B4 size.
The cover shows some signs of wear, but the overall condition is good.
This is Nanao's release at age 34.
After winning Race Queen of the Year, she debuted as a model and then expanded into television dramas and variety shows. She is now a familiar face seen in commercials almost every day.
She is 172cm tall, 49kg, with an inseam of 85cm, giving her a 9-head body proportion. Despite her physique and impressive career, this is only her second photo book.
Perhaps she has a perfectionist mindset, believing she cannot release anything less than perfect.
This book is, as expected, incredibly well-produced. She must have trained her body to achieve a body fat percentage of just a few percent, and publishing it in a large format is a sign of her confidence and willingness to show everything without reservation.
However, there's a question of how it holds up as a gravure piece. The pursuit of a perfect body, even when slender, can evoke images of bodybuilding (or physique competitions), and the perfection of each page can sometimes feel artificially inorganic.
Comparing it to her first photo book from about 10 years ago, these thoughts naturally arise, but it is still a high-level work.
Is it a strange conclusion to say that the only one who can surpass this Nanao is the Nanao from 10 years ago?
Yet, I don't feel inclined to compare her to other subjects.
