DELL Inspiron 3647, Zorin OS Installed
This is a desktop computer, the DELL Inspiron 3647.
Originally, Windows 10 was installed, but due to the end of Windows 10 support, I installed ZORIN OS (17.3 Core), a type of Linux. (Due to the specifications, it could not be upgraded to Windows 11.)
ZORIN OS is a user-friendly Linux that allows for operations similar to Windows. Web searches on Yahoo and video playback on YouTube work without any issues. Files like WORD and EXCEL can also be edited with compatible software. A printer can be used, but installing the driver can be a bit troublesome. (I was able to print with a Brother printer. Instructions were available on Brother's website.) This is recommended for those who want to try Linux.
A mouse and keyboard are included for operational checks, but please let me know if you do not need them.
[Spec Overview]
- CPU: Intel Pentium(R) G3250 3.20Gx2
- Memory: 16GB
- HD Capacity: 500GB
- Size: Height 265mm, Width 100mm, Depth 347.8mm
Other: The sign-in ID and password are both set to user.
Note: An SD card slot is visible when the front cover is opened, but its functionality has not been confirmed. (It did not respond when I was using Windows 10, so I used an external card reader.)
