Kinko-ryu Shakuhachi Reizan Modified 2-Shaku Pipe

US Size:

The Ryūho-kan shakuhachi, which is priced at over 700,000 yen per instrument and has high demand both domestically and internationally, is also used by the International Shakuhachi Training Center (KSK).
Master Ryūho passed away last year, making Ryūho-kan shakuhachi difficult to obtain.

This shakuhachi is a two-shaku (approximately 60cm) instrument recreated in the style of Ryūho-kan by REIZAN, who is popular in the auction world, by modifying a Hakushū-kan.
It has been modified to make the nidari (a specific fingering technique) commonly used in KSK easier and faster to perform.

The first and fourth finger holes have been slightly offset and enlarged, and the mouthpiece has been modified from the Ryūho-kan to a more user-friendly style reminiscent of a Katsuyoshi Yokoyama-kan.

There is some chipping of the bamboo material on the back of the mouthpiece, but it does not affect playability.
*Please refer to photo 6.

The deep tone characteristic of a long shakuhachi will make this an ideal instrument for those who enjoy Yokoyama honkyoku, Kaidō kyoku, Komusō kyoku, and other traditional pieces.

I played Yamagoe and Tamuke and found that playing classical pieces on a two-shaku shakuhachi is wonderful.

Price negotiation is not possible.
