Shakuhachi by Yozan Hikiji, 2.1 shaku, Tozan-ryu, Gin Sansen, Susudake, 5 holes

Made by Hikiji Yozan. A 2 shaku 1 sun (approx. 63.6 cm) shakuhachi, Tozan school, with silver inlay on three lines, made of susudake (smoked bamboo), 5 holes.
This shakuhachi produces a resonant tone with powerful projection.
I have been collecting shakuhachi, but I have decided to part with this one due to decluttering.
I am also listing other shakuhachi made by renowned craftsmen. All of them are masterpieces, and I purchased them at considerable expense.

The appearance, with its heavy-looking susudake construction, is also appealing.

I sincerely hope it will be passed on to someone who appreciates its value.

The lacquer inside is free of peeling or cracks, and there are no issues such as damage to the mouthpiece or looseness in the joints. It is ready to play immediately.
