Hichiriki (Shō) Main Pipe Gagaku Rattan Wrapped Japanese Instrument Kodenraku Ryūteki Shō With Flute Bag & Rosette
This is a genuine bamboo *hichiriki* used for Gagaku (Japanese court music).
It comes with a flute bag and one reed (rozetsu) that is easy to play even for beginners.
I used it for about a month for trial playing, but I happened to acquire another genuine bamboo *hichiriki*, so I am reluctantly selling this one to recoup my purchase costs.
It is very easy to play and produces a rich, deep sound.
It is made by Kobo Hiraku, is a new pipe, made of white bamboo, wrapped with rattan, and coated with cashew lacquer.
Please understand that the pitch and tone quality of a *hichiriki* can vary depending on the player, playing technique, reed, and cement used.
How about this for those who are learning to play the *hichiriki* for the first time, or those who wish to upgrade from a plastic pipe to a genuine bamboo one?
Also, for those who are sensitive to genuine lacquer or have allergies, this is made with cashew lacquer, so it is safe. As it is a new pipe, please nurture it yourself from now on.
Please note that this instrument is typically sold for around 40,000 yen at musical instrument stores and Shinto ritual item shops.
Please feel free to comment if you would like additional images or have any questions.
*As this is a natural product, please proceed with caution and at your own risk, given the value of the transaction.*
