Sierra Designs COMET CD Easton E9 Pole
Signs of hydrolysis present! Sierra Designs COMET CD with Easton E9 poles
Features: 1. Legendary EASTON aluminum poles
This is undoubtedly the biggest value.
• Aircraft Grade: Made with E9 (or 7075-T9), the highest strength aluminum alloy used in aircraft.
• Incredible Durability: Unlike the cheap tent poles of today, these are resistant to breaking, elastic, and extremely lightweight.
• Value for Parts: These are such reliable and proven parts that people worldwide want to buy just the poles.
2. Brand Power of SIERRA DESIGNS
• Pioneer in Outdoors: A historic American brand that developed the 60/40 cloth.
• For the Connoisseur: It has an image of being a true professional's choice, known to those in the know, distinct from Coleman or Snow Peak, and you're less likely to see it at campsites.
3. Excellent Design and Livability of COMET CD
• Beautiful Form: The unique silhouette, like an onigiri (rice ball) when set up, is very beautiful and stands out at vintage campsites.
• 3-Season Compatibility: As the CD (3 Season) name suggests, it's designed for spring, summer, and fall, making it most suitable for Japanese camping scenes.
• Ease of Use: It's a perfect size for two people, and also popular for solo campers who want to use it luxuriously.
4. Rarity (Discontinued Model)
• Never to be obtained again: This model is no longer in production. Units like this one, with a clean exterior and even the instruction manual included, rarely appear on the market.
5. Worthy of Maintenance
• Can be Revived: The stickiness from hydrolysis on the inside can be removed by washing with baking soda, etc. This is a tent with value to nurture that makes you want to use it even after such effort.
[Condition]
• Stickiness: Present. Likely on the inside of the sheet in the 5th photo. The exterior appears to be smooth.
It's unclear if all poles are present, but they are very clean. All accessories are shown in the photos.
• Odor: Faint vintage odor from long-term storage.
• Poles: Includes reliable EASTON E9 aluminum poles.
The COMET CD is rarely seen.
We hope to pass it on to someone who has been looking for it and will use it with care.
