Working condition: National R-1016 National AM Radio, with batteries

National (now Panasonic) AM radio. Uses two AA batteries.
This is a compact pocket radio, 7cm wide. Its speaker is larger than those on smaller radios, allowing for rich volume and good reception.
You remove the back cover to insert batteries, revealing the interior of this 6-transistor radio. The square design evokes Showa-era retro style.
The unit is generally clean, with the exception of a small dent on the speaker grille.
Suitable for everyday use as well as for disaster preparedness. Its loud volume might even make it good as a bear deterrent.
