These leather boots were developed from the last by the sus-sous designer, who holds this belief.
While deeply knowledgeable about vintage items and respecting the craftsmanship of bygone eras,
this piece was created using contemporary artisan techniques and the sensibilities of Japanese craftsmanship.
The base design is the jack boot used by the German army in the 1940s-50s.
They have a straightforward, masculine feel that allows for easy slipping on and off.
Externally, they feature an extremely minimalist finish with no cluttered decorative details.
Their simplicity makes them easy to pair not only with sus-sous's wide-leg bottoms but also with slim-fit pants, making them a pair that connects to the origin of all casual boots.
Rather than focusing on external appearance, the emphasis is on the internal construction. The stitching, rarely seen in modern times, is inefficient:
specifically, the shaft seams are overlapped and then another piece of leather is sewn on from the reverse side.
The robust strength of the old German military is realized in cooperation with modern Japanese artisans.
Despite their substantial appearance, they are lightweight and exceptionally comfortable to wear.
Every stitch is considered for its impact on comfort, with careful attention paid to thread thickness and stitching.

This thick cowhide is vegetable-tanned and hand-dyed.
By dyeing olive-based leather with black/brown, deep color variations and shading are achieved.
With age, the base layer will show through, creating a patina similar to vintage brown-core leather.
The soles are made by Continental, a German tire manufacturer, known for their strong grip.
The plates protecting the toe from wear are original brass parts made from custom molds.
