N/A Sony HVR-Z7U High Definition HDV MiniDV Camcorder HVR-Z7U- Turns on- Lens Issue

The camera turns on. The display shows battery and menu information, but live images does not show even if the lens cover/shutter is open. The lens acts like it is covered. I am not a camera repairman, but I believe the lens needs to be replaced. See pics. It might be an easy fix. The price of the camera has been reduced to reflect the issue. The battery holds a good charge. The camera is sold for part or for repair It comes with a battery and a charger. It does not include a mini tape nor an attachable HVR-MRC1 memory recorded unit (solid-state CompactFlash memory card). One of the recording media need to be inserted to be able to record. You will receive what is pictured.
