Vintage handmade patchwork tied quilt/comforter measuring approximately 70 x 84. Wonderful primitive utilitarian design constructed from an assortment of repurposed fabrics in red, navy, green, brown, gray, blue, tan, plaid and other colors. Fabrics appear to include assorted suiting/clothing materials with a variety of textures, including wool/wool-blend type fabrics, corduroy and woven textiles. The patchwork front is secured with contrasting yellow yarn ties, giving this piece a wonderful handmade folk-art appearance. Backing is a dark muted striped fabric. Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. Some visible staining/discoloration to at least one blue patch, along with scattered small spots, surface lint/hair and signs of previous use.
