Vintage collection of 3 brass wax seal stamps and 9 pieces of colored sealing wax. Wax seal stamps include: • SWAK (“Sealed With A Kiss”) • Two hearts pierced by an arrow • Detailed turtle/tortoise design Two of the ornate brass seals are stamped ITALY. All three show attractive age-related patina and wear. Vintage wax – 9 pieces: • 5 pieces marked Walkden’s Perfumed Fancy Candle Wax – Made in England • 3 pieces stamped PAT. NO. 3414421 • 1 piece stamped PATENT PENDING U.S. Patent No. 3414421 was for sealing wax and was granted December 3, 1968. The patent application was filed in 1967 and was a continuation-in-part of an earlier 1965 application. The Patent Pending piece provides a late-1960s-era connection, while the three pieces bearing the patent number are from 1968 or later. The wax comes in several colors and is in varying vintage condition. Pieces show age and previous use, including shortening, cracking, breaks and/or melted areas.
