Unknown Vintage Studio Pottery Amphora Vase, Red Lava Glaze, Signed SL

Large vintage studio pottery vase with two loop handles, a flared neck, and a heavily worked surface. Glossy brown and red-orange glazes run across deep horizontal tool marks, while an unglazed clay-colored wave circles the upper body. The strong color, rough texture, and substantial amphora form give it the feel of 1970s art pottery. Signed with incised initials on the unglazed base. Approximately 10 W × 10 D × 10.5 H. Very good vintage condition with natural handmade irregularities and variation in the glaze. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed.
