Handcrafted Heart of Haiti metal picture frame originally produced for Macy's artisan-made Haitian home decor collection. Features an intricate openwork botanical design with hand-cut leaves, branches and flowers surrounding a 4 x 6 photo opening. The metal was cut, hammered and detailed by hand, giving the frame the texture and irregular character of traditional Haitian metalwork. Macy's launched Heart of Haiti in 2010 to support Haitian artisans following the devastating earthquake. Metalwork from the collection was produced by artisans in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, known for its decorative metalwork tradition. Signed by the artisan along the lower edge. No original label or certificate included. Approx. 12 x 12 overall. Holds 4 x 6 photo. Weight: 1 lb 3.3 oz. Good pre-owned condition with surface wear, oxidation/patina and color variation.
