This is an old Japanese umbrella (Bansaga) with a traditional construction.
It features deep black-dyed Japanese paper and a beautiful bamboo frame.
It has a unique texture due to its age, giving it a distinct presence as an antique.

■ Product Condition
This umbrella cannot be used as a rain umbrella. Please consider it for display or as material for remaking.
• Japanese Paper Part: There are tears and holes in several places. There is also rubbing and white discoloration along the folds of the paper.
• Tip (Kagami): The protective Japanese paper has peeled off and is deteriorated.
• Frame/Shaft: The bamboo frame is sturdy, but there are minor scratches and dirt characteristic of old items. The opening and closing mechanism operates smoothly.
• Handle: Features a rattan (or cord) wrap design with anti-slip processing.
