Vintage FAPCO Ceramic Fighter Plane Planter 1940s WWII Military Star Pottery
This mid-century ceramic fighter plane planter was produced by the Fredericksburg Art Pottery Company (FAPCO) in Fredericksburg, Ohio, during the 1940s to 1950s. The design captures a World War I or World War II military aesthetic, styled with a high-gloss, two-tone glaze. A rich brown shade covers the top of the fuselage and wings, blending down into a lighter tan tone underneath. Molded military star insignias are stamped directly onto both wings. In line with original factory production standards, this piece was issued entirely unmarked, with no maker's stamps, logos, or serial numbers on the base. The structural integrity is excellent, showing no major chips, cracks, breaks, or professional restorations. A single, minor spot of light surface scuffing may be present from historical handling and storage. It serves as a historic display piece for military, pottery, or vintage novelty collections.
