This is a 1990s Morris MD302.
Top: Spruce
Back and sides: Mahogany
Neck: Nato
Fingerboard: Rosewood

String height: 6th string at 12th fret: 3mm
1st string at 12th fret: 2.7mm
Adjusted for easy playability.
No buzzing or choking. Also,
there is 4mm of saddle height remaining, allowing for easy fine-tuning yourself.

This would be good for beginners as well.
The most important thing is playability to start.
Perhaps spending your New Year's holiday practicing guitar at a relaxed pace would be nice.
