This is a billfold (long wallet) made from Shiroishi Washi (Shiroishi Japanese paper), a traditional craft from Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture, using Zao Shikiko.
Shiroishi Washi is an extremely durable and supple Japanese paper that was once a specialty product of the Date domain and is also known to have been favored by Matsuo Basho.
Currently, the main workshops have closed, making unused items like this extremely rare treasures.

Material: Zao Shikiko (Japanese paper processed to be as durable as fabric)
Design: A refined pattern reminiscent of ginkgo leaves adorns a calm base color.
Feel: Surprisingly soft for paper, you can enjoy its unique texture that becomes more comfortable with use.
