Antique Mizusashi (Water Jar) - Unsigned, Black Lacquered Lid, Ladle Included
This is a mizusashi (water container) with the marks of many years of practical use.
The glaze has a pale Biwa color tone with natural crackling appearing throughout. Natural darkening from long-term use can be seen inside the foot. This is a sign of a well-used tea utensil, rarely seen in modern pieces, representing the passage of time. While there is no maker's mark or accompanying box, the hand-crafted form and glaze suggest it originates from a regional kiln during the late Edo to Meiji period. It comes complete with a black-lacquered wooden lid and a black-lacquered wooden hishaku (ladle), possessing the presence and completeness of an antique tea utensil.
[Product Condition]
