Black Glaze Mizusashi with Lid, Tea Ceremony Utensil, Tea Ware, Water Container

Thank you for looking.

This item has been stored long-term at my parents' home.
It was used and stored by my mother when she attended tea ceremony and flower arrangement classes.

This is a mizusashi (water container) with an impressive, calm black glaze and a textured finish.
I believe it would be a lovely piece to display as is, to enjoy a Japanese aesthetic.

The material of the lid is unknown. There are areas on the surface that appear to be lifting paint (please check photo 4 for condition).
