Full Alnico 5 Humbucker-Single-Humbucker Pickup Set with Tap Switch and Large Potentiometers
This is a complete pickup assembly set for a Stratocaster with a 3-single size (SSS) humbucker-single-humbucker configuration.
The magnets are all Alnico.
This item is brand new and unused.
It is pre-wired and in perfect working condition.
It has not been installed on a guitar yet, and continuity has been confirmed for all positions.
Simply connect the positive/negative wires to the jack and the string ground (usually connected to the spring claw on the back), and it's ready to go, making installation very easy.
It features 1 volume, 1 tone, and a tap switch (for humbucker/single coil switching of the pickups).
The 5-way switch lever is the same as a standard Stratocaster, offering 3 positions plus 2 half-tone positions.
The tap switch allows you to switch the front and rear pickups between humbucker and single-coil modes independently.
This results in a total of 9 different sounds: the standard 5 tones plus 4 additional tones in single-coil mode.
Measured resistance values are: Front 6.1kΩ, Center 5.5kΩ, Rear 8.6kΩ. The tap single-coil mode will have approximately half of these resistance values.
The pickguard color is 3-ply black.
The pickup covers are also black.
Shipping will be via Yu-Packet Post, which has a thickness limit of approximately 4cm. Therefore, the lever switch will be removed for shipping to comply with thickness restrictions.
Reattaching it only requires screwing it back in, so it should be a simple and straightforward process.
When installing on your guitar, you will need to solder the wiring connections.
Additionally, while the pickguard is stated to be a standard Fender/Squire size, it is not an official Fender product, and pickguard dimensions can vary. Therefore, there may be slight alignment issues depending on your specific guitar.
Compatibility with other manufacturers' guitars can be even more varied, so please be prepared to make adjustments as needed.
You are also welcome to reuse your original pickguard if preferred.
