LPC HB57's Humbucker Pickup Gibson PICKUP
Since 2007, I have primarily studied the design, production, and manufacturing of American pickup makers. I felt that pickups are a very important part of electric instruments. In 2021, I started my own private workshop in my home country, Japan. I handle everything from OEM to individual sales.
I will be selling individually on Yahoo Auctions.
Thank you for your understanding.
I have used Alnico 3 magnets and slightly over-wound the formvar wire. This simulates the earliest models produced among vintage PAFs. It offers good clarity, a soft and pleasant tone, while still maintaining a firm and slightly powerful sound image.
This is an affordable PAF replica with slightly boosted mids and highs. This results in a fuller mid-range attack and a slightly more forward brightness in the upper frequencies.
The sustain is similar to the original, with the overtone remaining until the very end.
The sound image has a powerful impression. The lows do not become boomy even when overdriven, and the contours remain clear even when playing single notes in the lower positions. This balance will be appreciated by guitarists who also play bass lines on the 5th and 6th strings. The overall sound image is a dry, vintage tone.
Once things are on track, I plan to become a pickup builder and repairman. However, as I am working alone as a non-professional, I am working carefully, but some may find it to be American in style. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly sensitive. The coils are wound using a winding machine, while other processes are done by hand.
