Fender Vintage Hot Rod '62 Strat Neck
This is a slab board rosewood fingerboard neck for a Fender USA Vintage Hot Rod '62 Series Stratocaster.
The guitar, released around 2007, was well-regarded for its thick, rounded fish belly neck profile.
I wanted to switch to a maple neck, so I removed this one and have kept it in storage.
The medium jumbo frets contributed to a thick, solid tone.
Highly recommended for fans of SRV and John Mayer.
While I was playing it, the neck had a healthy forward bow and was stable.
The truss rod can be turned at least 45 degrees in the reverse bow direction.
There are two dings on the back, shown in the photos:
- Near the 3rd fret on the 1st string side: a shallow ding that's hard to notice unless pointed out.
- Near the 10th fret on the 1st string side: noticeable to the touch.
The f on the headstock decal is slightly chipped at the bottom.
The maple appears whitish in the photos, but it's actually an amber-colored lacquer finish. The color in the 5th photo of the truss rod is the closest representation.
Please check the photos for the frets.
There is still plenty of life left, and no areas are extremely dented.
As a bonus, I'll include Gotoh tuners.
They are in good working order.
I will ship it in a Fender genuine replacement neck box.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thank you.
