Noritake
Noritake Roseara vintage porcelain salt dips
The backstamp on your salt dips is the authentic magenta/red M in Wreath mark, which confirms your pieces were manufactured between 1918 and 1941. The letter M in the center stands for the Morimura Brothers (Morimura Bros.), the early founders and export distributors of Noritake porcelain. While this specific wreath mark was stamped in multiple colors over the decades, the magenta/red version was specifically registered for the U.S. and western export markets starting in 1918. Given the specific Art Deco style of the floral Roseara pattern on the front, production can be narrowed down precisely to the mid-to-late 1920s. The crisp, clear stamp and lack of severe rubbing on the back indicates that your salt cellars have been well-preserved over the past century! Slight ware on gold. NO chips, cracks SK1414 Length, about 2” W 1.2oz.
