This is a jewelry box with a music box, decorated with a beautiful large peony flower, from the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, famous for its traditional Japanese craft Aizu lacquerware.

- The music box plays when the lid is opened. The music box part has a felt cover, so the inside is not visible.

- The interior is equipped with storage space for accessories and a mirror.

- Vibrant peony flowers are depicted on a jet-black background, with jewel-like decorations at the center of the flowers.

- The music box tune is Sakura Sakura (Cherry Blossoms).

Comes with a dedicated box (see photos 11-14). Please note that the box is not in very good condition.

Although not visible in the photos, the black lacquered surface has fine scratches when viewed closely under light. They are not noticeable at first glance.
