This is a Yamanaka lacquerware square three-tiered jubako (tiered food box).
It was used over 30 years ago, but has been carefully stored at home for over 20 years without use.

It is clearly marked as Yamanaka lacquerware on the box. The beautiful glossy black finish, characteristic of lacquerware, appears to depict an illustration of two butterflies dancing around a bush clover.
The illustration is on the lid and two sides of the jubako, while the other two sides are plain.

The inside is coated in a vermilion color, typical of lacquerware.

The dimensions, with the lid closed, are approximately 20 cm (length) x 20 cm (width) x 18.5 cm (height).

An instruction manual is included, so you can care for it with peace of mind.

The box in which the jubako was stored (shown in photo 9) is deteriorated, but the jubako itself is in usable condition.

For shipping, it will be wrapped in cushioning material, placed in the box shown in photo 9, and then further packed in a cardboard box.

While this is a used item with minor scuffs, there are no noticeable scratches or stains, and it can still be used.
