Information from online search:
This is believed to be an M9A1 gas mask, or a derivative model, used by the US military during the Korean War and the early Vietnam War.
Item Features:
Model: The M9 series (M9, M9A1, etc.) is the official US military gas mask adopted from the 1950s.
Specifications: The individual in the image has the filter (canister) attached to the right side (left side of the wearer). Normally, the filter is often attached to the left side to prevent interference when a right-handed soldier aims a firearm, but a specification exists where it can be attached to the right side for left-handed use.
Markings: The US stamp on the forehead indicates it is a US military issue item.
Color: Features an OD (Olive Drab) colored rubber body.
