Antique Brown Lacquerware Tray with Gold Pattern for New Year's Dining

I believe this was used at my father's family's traditional Japanese restaurant.
(Details are unknown)
I think I received it when they got new ones, so it has some damage (scratches, chips, and scuffs that are difficult to capture in photos).

It has a celebratory pattern (or so it appears), so how about using it for New Year's?

Size: Approximately 39 x 39 cm. It's quite large.

This is a brown lacquered tray with gold decorative elements, featuring an abstract design.

- Color: Brown
