N/A Vintage 1984 M Jones Signed Hand Carved Canvasback Drake Duck Decoy Folk Art

Vintage hand-carved and painted wooden canvasback drake duck decoy, signed by the maker M. Jones and dated March 12, 1984 (3-12-84) on the underside. This is a nicely executed carving with extensive hand-worked feather detail throughout the body and wings. Features a rich reddish-brown head and neck, dark breast, natural-toned body, black painted bill, inset red eyes, individually defined wing and tail feathers, and a felt-covered underside. The carving has an appealing traditional working-decoy form while displaying enough detailed carving to make it an attractive piece of American sporting and folk-art décor. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, minor marks and variations to the painted/wood finish. The carving retains a pleasing aged appearance.
