N/A The University of Florida - Gator Greats: Profiles of Champions Football

The book and cover have some wear/damage but pages are in good shape with all the extras inside. This detailed scrapbook contains never-before-published photographs, artwork and memorabilia drawn from Floridas athletic department and campus archives. Tucked into dozens of sleeves and pockets, fans will find reproductions of old game programs, historic tickets, numerous postcards and photos. The athletes responsible for the meteoric rise of the University of Florida football program between 1991 and 2008 reads like a Whos Who of College Football. The Gator Way: Profiles of a Champion chronicles the life of one outstanding player from each of Florida s combined eight SEC and national championship teams. Former wide receiver and ESPN Radio host Chris Doering profiles the lives of these gridiron heroes both on and off the field through one-on-one interviews with the players and their families. In his own chapter, Doering recounts making the team as a walk on in 1991 and, by graduation, catching more touchdown passes than anyone in UF and Southeastern Conference history. Other players profiled include legends Kevin Carter, Danny Wuerffel, Alex Brown and Eric Rhett. Each chapter features reproductions of the player s favorite piece of memorabilia, making it a must have for any Gator fan as they learn about the men who turned an average program into a national powerhouse.
