Mizusashi (Water Jar) - Nakamura Tōsai - Yanagibashi (Willow Bridge) Design - Kyōyaki (Kyoto Ware) - New Old Stock

US Size:

Five-color overglaze enamel with lavishly scattered gold leaf.
A splendor that can only be achieved by items made in the past.
Bold and cool!
It is unlikely that this can be made at this price today.

I believe it can create an interesting atmosphere when combined with tea ceremony utensils.

Although unused, it is an old item, so it is listed as near mint condition as a new-old stock item.
The box is not included.

I believe it is a Yanagibashi Suisha-zu (Willow Bridge Water Wheel Design), but since there is no water wheel, I have listed it as Yanagibashi-zu (Willow Bridge Design).

Yanagibashi Suisha-zu: A design popular from the Momoyama to Edo periods, combining a dynamic bridge, elegant willows, water wheels, and baskets (jakago) against a gold leaf background.
Emotion and Seasonality: Depicts the delicate form of willows from spring to summer, creating a sense of coolness and solitude.
Meaning as a Pattern: The willow is a plant with strong vitality and is considered an auspicious symbol for warding off evil spirits, believed to drive away malevolent influences.
