This is a cool and refreshing summer slip (nagajuban slip) made from Takashima Crepe, a Japanese material born in Lake Biwa, characterized by its fine, crinkled texture.

It's a fabric woven using highly twisted yarn (kyonen-shi) for the weft. The yarn's natural tendency to untwist creates a puckered texture on the fabric surface.
