This is a truly lovely, early 1930s, hand-painted floral, gold gilded Rossetti lemon plate. This is such a brilliant idea! At tea parties, or afternoon tea, lemon wedges would be passed around using a handled plate instead of guests using their fingers or even tongs. Purely for etiquette & hygiene! There is some slight wearing on the gold gilded handle, but otherwise, this piece is in amazing vintage condition.
