Painting on Natural Materials

This is a painting on some kind of natural material, purchased in Mexico.
It is presumed to be painted on something resembling animal horns.
The natural material shows some marks that appear to be scratches, but these are likely inherent to the material itself.
There is a hole at the top of the wooden backing, which resembles a frame, allowing it to be hung on a hook. It can also be displayed by standing it on a stand or leaning it against a wall.
