Komusō (wandering mendicant monks) training attire set – Tengai (basket hat), rakusu (shawl), fan, incense burner, etc. Shakuhachi flute.
I have a deep interest in the history of the shakuhachi and komuso monks, and this is a set of komuso attire that I collected over about a year.
Set Contents:
Tengai (traditional head covering)
Korosu (cloth worn around the neck)
Teoi (hand coverings)
Paper fan
Wooden incense burner
Saihai (box for money and wallet)
Juzu (Buddhist prayer beads)
The items have been used very little and are in good condition.
As I am 185cm tall, tabi (split-toe socks), kimono, obi (sash), and geta (wooden clogs) are not included in the set, but if you would like a complete komuso outfit, please feel free to contact me.
I am selling these to organize my belongings, so I look forward to hearing from anyone who is interested in purchasing them.
