About Mr. Chikuden: Born in Bungo Taketa. Painter and calligrapher. Studied painting under Buncho.
He was friends with leading literary figures of his time such as Rai San'yō and Uragami Shunkin.

Condition: Both the artwork and mounting are in good condition, considering their age.
